Understand Regulations Affecting Manufacturing

There isn't a single day that some new regulation or rule comes out; or a court case arises which erases part of some rule. Federal OSHA has their guidelines, and then there’s the importantly distinct CalOSHA. The headlines are enough to confuse any of us! As the New Year begins to unfold, we have asked our friends at the California Manufacturers & Technology Association (https://CMTA.net) for their help.

Health, safety, and COVID issues aren’t the only thing on our plates. Transportation capacity shortages, highway disruption, and increased activities at the ports, contribute to delays and expenses for the manufacturing sector. CMTA’s policy directors will help us navigate these issues over the next year.

Thursday February 24th via Zoom
3:50pm to 5:00pm

Speakers:

Robert Spiegel, senior policy director for CMTA, will offer his expertise on which issues will be front-and-center during the coming year, and how they might be implemented.  We’ve asked Robert to lay the groundwork for the coming legislative year.

Lawrence Gayden, is the CMTA specialist on COVID legislation and regulations. Lawrence will speak on masks, inoculation requirements, workplace rules for employees who might be sick or exposed to COVID; sick leave and paid days off rules.
